Intel Core i7-980X 4.5GHz vs i7-980X (Stock), 4.5GHz BIOS Settings

In the last video, I showed how much an i7-980X 6-Core Gulftown destroys an i7-920 D0 using the same processor speed of 2.66GHz. In today's video, we'll see how much an overclocked 980X at 4.5GHz can beat up on a 980X running at its stock speed of 3.33GHz in Cinebench 11.5 and Adobe Media Encoder. Also, I'll show you in detail my 4.5GHz BIOS Settings. Note #1: Your own processor may need a little more or less juice, as each batch is different. Note #2: If you don't have excellent cooling, do not attempt this high of an overclock. I don't want anybody to burn their baby up. Note #3: I don't run 4.5GHz as my 24/7 overclock. @SirJamesDDJ Oh, yeah and i forgot to mention, my computer got an ungodly 0.23 on the CineBench CPU benchmark. Took like half an hour, but hey, it’s a netbook

@psychoclown420 Yes well I’m fine with what I’ve got for video editing, etc. Don’t have a desire for an SR-2 with dual 5680s at the moment.

i thought the first six core from intel will be the i9 in 2011 or 2012 i got only a 2.7ghz dual core amd finally intel and nvidia are more expensive and nvidia is not god as ati ati makes better graphics Sapphire 5970 Dual GPU with fuckin 4gigbytes

James, do you have your bios settings in a document anywhere so that I do not have to transcribe from the video to use them? I just ordered my i7-980x and the EVGA board. How fast do you think that I could overclock with good air-cooling?

That’s a lot more settings I have gone through for sure. I am still on a E8500 wolfdale dual core though lol! I am so afraid of blowing my CPU I just been @ stock speeds an can’t afford high end cooling at the moment. Best I do is set my mem timings an just make sure everything clocks in LOL! I have checked a lot of forums to even OC this CPU I have an even for this I have seen guys go as high as 1.55v. Which is insane to me. So I wouldn’t worry about your current voltage at all.
