Fraps Test

It looks like my nightmare with Fraps is over. Frap's was installed on my OS drive and even though FSX was screaming at 40+fps, Fraps would record at 4fps. I just about gave up, then thought I'll install Fraps to a 300GB Velociraptor and capture all raw video to that. Let's see... 30" monitor at 2560x1600 and full-duplex makes for for some huge files. I can't believe it! It works!!! 
Fraps now records at 25-30fps at these full maxed settings.

Great vid, excellent graphics and FPS’s. I have the same problem with FRAPS, excellent results with the Velociraptor, 5*
Fraps is recording at 22-27fps give or take. I’m getting 40-60fps or more when not running Fraps. On a 30″ monitor it’s just amazing!!

Crappy FPS…
I had Fraps installed in the wrong place in my case… On a crappy raid card.
I think it had something to do with my C:Drive Two WD 320GB in raid-0 on a 3ware 8000 series raid controller card. It is a PCI card not PCI-e, so my guess is, it’s slower than a turtle.
I wonder what happened with Fraps?
