Antec 1200 Optional Fan Install

can you use a nvidia card as a phyics card with ati cards?

@jsquad192837465 Stay away from the 5870 cards,there are alot of people having major issues with them….search “5870 Gray Lines” on Google and see for yourself.I’d stay clear of ATI.I was thinking of going with ATI for my next build,then I read about all the trouble people are having with the 5870’s & 5970 cards.I’ve used nothing but Nvidia for 10+ years…figured I’d give ATI a try because of the impressive benchmarks the 5870’s were getting,I’m getting 2 GTX 285′S in sli now though
There are only a few games which utilize a separate card. Batman: Arkham Asylum and Mirror’s Edge are ones that come to mind. But it’s not essential. And certainly not if you have ATI cards like I do now.
Do you need to have the physics card or what it is?

CrossFire will work just fine.
I’ve got it rockin on my X58 board right now.
And if I got the 5870’s would they work with the motherboard or would I have to get a different one?
So if I got 2 5870’s in ceosfire it would work fine?
If I remember back when I had this setup, that NIC card should fit in the top x1 slot.
You sure you wanna go with 2 295’s? With that board, it’s 16/8/8 for PCIe slots, meaning you won’t get the full bandwidth for the 2nd 295.
I’d advise you to think about 2 5870s, which have the same performance and run cooler.
im getting that same case and motherboard and case, would i be able to fit 2 gtx 295’s in sli and have room for a wireless network card?
If I can remember back then before my H20 setup it was around 35 idle, 71/72 load.

you can do tri sli just you would have to only connect it to the back with one screw and let the second part hang. great video and rig
